Employer-funded supplementary health insurance

Summary

The City of Dorsten is procuring a group contract for employer-funded supplementary health insurance, principally for approximately 1,000 eligible municipal employees, with the option for 215 tenured civil servants to join at their own expense. Eligible employees’ household family members may also be insured, and the contract is intended to start on 1 January 2027 for an initial term of three years. The cover includes outpatient and preventive care, dental treatment and hospital benefits.
