Electronic preparation of standard-form medical assessments in severe disability determination proceedings

Summary

The City of Gera is procuring electronic, file-based medical assessment reports for procedures determining severe disability status under Book IX of the German Social Code. The reports identify disabilities, assess the degree of disability and recommend compensatory benefits for initial or amended applications and objections. The two lots cover residents of Gera and Weimar. Estimated annual volumes are approximately 5,050 reports for Gera (4,500 applications and 550 objections) and 2,030 for Weimar (1,850 applications and 180 objections); actual volumes may vary. The contract runs from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2028, with an optional extension through 31 December 2029.
