Rail and sleeper replacement on track 1603 at Aßling station
Summary
DB InfraGO is procuring replacement of the rails and sleepers on track 1603 at Aßling station, together with associated railway track-superstructure works. The main scope is renewal of a 680 m section; the bill of quantities also includes installing 950 concrete sleepers, removing and laying rails, renewing the ballast bed, tamping and aligning the track, and carrying out 12 aluminothermic rail-joining welds. The work also covers site logistics, surveying, work-area preparation and documentation. The schedule provides for site preparation on 12 December 2026, followed by sleeper and rail works, welding, tamping, alignment and handover from 13 to 17 December 2026; the contract period runs from 12 December 2026 to 31 December 2027. The plan indicates a continuous possession of approximately 100 hours and overhead-line isolation. The procurement has one lot and price is the sole award criterion; alternative bids are permitted only alongside a main bid. Bids must be submitted electronically in German by 11:00 on 29 October 2026. To participate, the company responsible for carrying out the works must hold Deutsche Bahn prequalification for conventional ballasted track and turnout works on route category II lines carrying mixed traffic at 121–160 km/h. The bidder must provide the required suitability and compliance declarations and have the technical equipment needed for the works. After award, the contractor must provide a performance bond equal to 5% of the contract sum and a defects-liability bond equal to 3% of the final account amount.
