Ultra-low-temperature freezers

Summary

The procurement is for two laboratory ultra-low-temperature freezers for the Leibniz Institute for Analytical Sciences in Dortmund, replacing existing equipment. The units must be delivered to the place of use within six weeks of contract award at the latest. The contract also includes racks for standard boxes, proper disposal of the two old freezers, and delivery to the place of use. Each freezer must have a capacity of 860–870 litres. The first unit may be no wider than 110 cm and the second no wider than 100 cm; both must be no deeper than 90 cm and no higher than 199 cm, including feet or castors. The required temperature range is at least –50 to –86 °C at an ambient temperature of up to +30 °C. The specifications require an inverter compressor, power consumption of approximately 920 W maximum in stable operating mode, a touchscreen of at least 13 inches, digital sample management, export of temperature and alarm data, and visual and audible alarms. The units must also have a network interface, a remote-alarm contact, and a battery that maintains the alarm functions and temperature display during a power failure. Racks for standard boxes are to fill the upper half of each freezer, at approximately 4–5 shelf levels. The bidder must supply compliant units with technical data sheets, price every line in the price schedule, and arrange collection and proper disposal of the old equipment. Price is the only award criterion; variants are not permitted. The bid must be submitted electronically in text form by 2 November 2026 at 10:00.
