Summary
The tender covers demolition, carpentry, roofing, roof waterproofing and sheet-metal works for the energy-efficiency upgrade of the roofs of Buildings 2 and 3 at the Palatinate Institute for Hearing and Communication in Frankenthal. The works include removing existing roof layers and disposing of the waste, modifying roof structures and overhangs, installing new underlayers and roof coverings, renewing rainwater drainage and roof junctions, and replacing roof windows in Building 3. A 120 mm wood-fibre insulation layer will be installed above the upper roof of Building 3; work on Building 2’s roof and the flat-roof junction between the buildings includes new bituminous waterproofing. The contractor must provide necessary lifting and waste-handling equipment, protect opened roof areas from the weather, and keep the worksite clean and safe. Bids must be submitted electronically through the contracting authority’s platform; paper, email and fax submissions are not accepted. Bidders must demonstrate experience with comparable works and access to sufficient staff, and provide the required declarations and evidence. During performance, the contractor must comply with applicable employment and minimum-pay requirements and the ILO core labour standards.
