Replacement of Chiller Units

Summary

The procurement covers renewal of the cooling plant serving the operating department at Kemperhof Hospital in Koblenz while the hospital remains in operation. The work includes removing two existing chillers and two rooftop heat-rejection units, then supplying and installing two new water-cooled chillers (146–160 kW) and two heat-rejection units rated up to 210 kW. The contractor will carry out the required pipework and insulation, make connections within its scope, fill and commission the system, perform testing, provide documentation and train the operating staff. Existing pipes, buffer tanks, pumps and fittings are generally to be retained; electrical work and the external building-management connection are commissioned separately. Bidders must also price maintenance for four operating years and submit a draft maintenance contract. Work will take place at the hospital in Koblenz while clinical operations continue; the hospital ventilation and operating-department systems must remain operational. Refrigerant-circuit work may only be performed by a suitably certified company and qualified personnel. The offer must include equipment technical data and the required suitability declarations, be submitted in German electronically by 30 October 2026 at 10:00. Price is the sole award criterion. The scheduled start date is 4 January 2027 and the completion date is 19 February 2027.
