Framework agreement for electrical works for FAIR and GSI

Summary

The tender concerns a framework agreement for electrical installations at the GSI and FAIR campuses in Darmstadt. Work will be ordered as required through separate call-offs and includes, among other things, extending distribution boards; installing electrical equipment and sockets; laying and connecting supply cables; installing cable routes; installing and servicing lighting; earthing and equipotential bonding; making openings and chases; inspecting electrical installations; and dismantling and disposing of existing equipment. Where required, the work also includes planning, installation, testing, commissioning and documentation. Bidders must submit a priced schedule of works, the required forms and declarations, and details of the manufacturers, types and technical data of the proposed components. Staff assigned to GSI/FAIR work must have spoken and written German at C1 level or higher and be qualified electrical workers at least at NVQ Level 4. Work must comply with GSI/FAIR technical and safety requirements; wiring must be halogen-free, and the required plans, test reports and as-built documentation must be provided. Normal working hours are 06:00–19:30 on weekdays. A 24/7 hotline is required for emergency call-outs, but the documents conflict on response time: the service requirements specify 12 hours, while the framework agreement specifies 24 hours. The applicable period should be clarified with the contracting authority. The maximum value of an individual call-off is EUR 75,000, and no call-off volume is guaranteed. The initial contract term is one year, with up to three optional one-year extensions.
