Rescue balcony and stairwell strengthening works at Warnowallee 6–7 – shell works, Lot 1

Summary

The tender covers shell construction works, Lot 1, to upgrade the rescue balconies and stairwell at Warnowallee 6–7 in Rostock. The work includes setting up the site, forming two side entrance door openings and installing steel lintels, building load-bearing sand-lime masonry walls in the stairwell, repairing and protecting external concrete, constructing an entrance landing and carrying out plastering. The landing works also involve excavation and soil removal, waterproofing, installation of a drainage mat, geotextile and 145 mm drainage channel, and construction of a paved area and concrete steps. Concrete repairs include exposing damaged areas, cleaning and protecting reinforcement, replacing reinforcement where necessary, and restoring concrete surfaces. The bid must identify the manufacturers of several specified products. Bids must be submitted electronically in text form, and the bidder must be clearly identifiable in the submission. During the works, the contractor must comply with site safety rules, provide the required work and handover documentation, and ensure that an authorised contact who speaks and writes German is available. Under the contract terms, a payment schedule is due within two weeks after work begins; documentation must be submitted for review at least two calendar weeks before acceptance. The warranty period is four years. The final account will include deductions of 0.35% of the gross amount for site electricity and water, 0.3% for safety coordination, and 0.18% for construction insurance.
