Dental advisory services

Summary

The tender seeks written dental advisory services for BGHM, Germany’s statutory accident insurance institution for the wood and metal industries. The adviser will review case files and, where relevant, imaging to address medical questions related to dental treatment, including whether dental damage is linked to an insured accident or occupational disease, whether treatment is necessary, whether proposed costs and fees are justified, assessment of reduced earning capacity, and the handling of treatment cases. The service consists of reasoned written opinions; the adviser may also need to provide telephone consultations and answer follow-up questions. Up to seven contracts are planned for 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2030, with automatic extension possible until 31 December 2032. From 2027, the estimated workload is about 840 advisory assignments per year; this is an estimate, not a guaranteed minimum. Fees are fixed per case: EUR 100 for normal effort, EUR 140 for increased effort and EUR 250 for high effort, plus VAT. Bidders must meet the dentist qualification, knowledge and personal-performance requirements and submit the signed offer form and requested experience details. Selection is based on experience points and a 5–10-minute online presentation; contracts go to the seven highest-scoring bidders. The submission deadline is 2 November 2026 at 10:00.
