Summary

The tender is for the supply and installation of a slide scanner for digital microscopic examination at the food and veterinary institute in Hannover. The institute currently produces approximately 2,500 slides per year for digitisation. The supply includes the scanner, software, a network-compatible computer, monitor and necessary accessories, as well as installation, connection, commissioning, functional testing and user training in German. The scanner must support bright-field and polarisation observation with a colour camera of at least 5 MP, and combine images from these modes. It must handle at least 6 slides per run, be expandable, accommodate standard 26 × 76 mm slides, and include 2×, 20× and 40× objectives, a motorised changer for at least three objectives and an automatic immersion system. Requirements include freely available, installable software, automatic slide and barcode recognition, and creation of an editable focus map. The computer must support Windows 11 and include a monitor of at least 27 inches, a 2 TB system drive and a 10 TB data-storage drive; its network interface must support TCP/IP and a connection speed of at least 100 Mbit/s. Delivery is to Hannover within 6 weeks or at a time agreed with the contracting authority. Installation and commissioning should be possible by 17 December 2026; if not, the timing must be agreed with the authority. The requirements include a 24-month warranty, spare-parts availability suited to the equipment’s lifecycle, maintenance and cleaning of the complete system within a 2-year period, a contact person who responds within 24 hours on working days, and an on-site technician within 3 working days when needed. In the event of a fault, a technical employee must be able to attend within 72 hours. The offer must separately price options including 24 months of full service, a further 12-month service contract and training for at least 7 people. The bidder must provide a reference list proving successful installation of laboratories of the offered type for at least 8 different customers in Germany. The offer must include the signed technical specification, eligibility declarations and required evidence. It must be in German and submitted by 23 October 2026 at 08:00; the deadline for questions is 16 October 2026. Price accounts for up to 30 points; additional points are available for specified equipment features and lower energy consumption.
