Project 1028 – Securing migration scenarios for database systems
Summary
The tender concerns a study on the secure migration of database systems to open-source solutions and to the cloud. The work covers migration strategies, threat and risk analyses, security requirements, and the practical design, implementation and validation of a migration from Oracle Database to PostgreSQL and from an on-premises system to the cloud. The results must be delivered in extensive scientific documentation, together with workshops and final presentations. Four guide-development work packages are optional, but they must still be priced in the tender. The bidder must provide at least one suitable reference from the last three years, a team of at least two people, and profiles of real named project and deputy project managers. Experience in cloud and database migration, database security analysis, scientific studies and database-system administration is essential. The tender must include the methodology, risk management, cost calculations for all fixed-price work packages, a binding payment and milestone plan, and a sustainability approach. The project must be completed within a maximum of 22 calendar months; the tender deadline is 13 October 2026 at 14:00.
