Demolition and waste recovery at the former CET Brașov and CAF Metrom sites

Summary

Brașov Municipality is procuring a works concession for the partial demolition of buildings, industrial structures and installations at the former CET Brașov and CAF Metrom sites. The work includes technical assessments and design, obtaining demolition permits, dismantling and demolition, management and recovery of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, restoration of the sites to greenfield condition, and cadastral documentation to remove the demolished structures from the register. The former CET Brașov site covers 440,358 m² and includes 35 facilities; the CAF Metrom site covers 14,934 m² and includes 8 buildings, 27 special structures and 268 fixed assets. The concessionaire’s remuneration is limited to the right to recover materials and includes payment of a concession fee to the authority; the authority makes no payment to the concessionaire. The chimney is excluded from demolition at both sites.
