Purchase and delivery of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) for HOFOR’s water supply

HOFOR is procuring a framework agreement for the purchase and delivery of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) for drinking-water production at its waterworks and well sites. The chemical will be used to soften drinking water, with demand expected to increase as the rollout to HOFOR’s waterworks progresses. The estimated contract value is DKK 350 million and the maximum value is DKK 700 million; the initial term is 1 July 2027 to 30 June 2030, with options for two 24-month extensions.
