Construction of the New Transport Museum

Summary

Hungary’s Ministry of Transport and Investment is procuring the general construction of the New Transport Museum in Budapest as a single, indivisible project, with no lots. The base works cover the main museum complex, including new and renovated exhibition and event spaces, storage and workshops, parking, and landscaping; the total planned net usable floor area across the project is 63,814 m². Two optional works cover the renovation of the Törekvés cultural centre (3,581 m²) and the small-buildings campus (2,796 m²). The project includes a 40,457 m² landscape scheme and is intended to achieve LEED Gold certification; the base works are planned for 34 months.
