Construction of a geothermal district heating system in Kaba

Summary

The Municipality of Kaba is procuring, as a single integrated construction project, a geothermal district heating system for municipal public buildings. The works include drilling a new geothermal well with a planned depth of 1,200 m, installing a 300 kW heat-utilisation unit, district heating pipelines totalling approximately 1,265 m, heat-transfer centres and associated building connections and control systems. The system will supply several municipal facilities, including accommodation, a nursery, kitchens, kindergartens, a fire station and a social services centre; completion is planned within 15 months from handover of the site.
