Resilient Westhoek in Practice – Water Buffering in Alveringem

Summary

The Flemish Land Agency is procuring works in Alveringem to reduce flooding in the village centre of Leisele. The project comprises a small controlled retention basin with an adjustable sluice gate, a larger basin created by reopening a covered watercourse, and associated earthworks, drainage, local paving, landscaping and maintenance. The planned works period is 75 days.
