Supply and installation of solar panels

Summary

An Post is establishing a nationwide qualification system in the Republic of Ireland for supplying and installing solar photovoltaic systems at its properties. The work includes installation, commissioning and maintenance during the applicable warranty period. Around 53 sites have been identified initially; project size and complexity will vary and may include three-phase micro- and mini-generation systems up to 50 kVA, as well as larger grid-connected systems, subject to the network operator’s requirements. An Post may also seek support, maintenance or system enhancement through future call-off tenders, but this does not guarantee any order volume. The qualification system is planned to run for 10 years from 4 November 2026; An Post may extend it or close it early in line with operational requirements.
