Inspection Services for the North Railway Expansion, Northern Section

Summary

The tender concerns inspection services for the northern section of the North Railway expansion between Gänserndorf and the national border near Bernhardsthal, Austria. The inspections must be carried out under Section 34b of the Austrian Railway Act to obtain an operating permit from the competent authority. The main contract covers inspections of the 2025–2027 construction packages NH1.0, NU1.0, NH1.1 and NU1.1. As an option, the contracting entity may order inspections of subsequent construction packages, partial inspection certificates for those packages, and a comprehensive certificate covering the entire northern section. The work areas include, among others, railway substructure and track, control and safety systems, telematics, overhead lines, buildings, acoustics, geotechnical engineering and hydraulic engineering. The planned contract period is 1 February 2027 to 31 December 2028. This is a negotiated procedure with electronic submission of requests to participate by 30 October 2026 at 11:00; at least three candidates are intended to be selected. The quality of tenders will be assessed in accordance with the tender documents.
