Planning the introduction of a smart mixed municipal waste collection system in Trebišov

Summary

The procurement is for a complete smart, pay-by-quantity system for collecting mixed municipal waste in Trebišov. The supplier must deliver and install 49 smart collection points and 109 weighing systems, commission central waste-management control software and a mobile app for residents, integrate the solution bidirectionally with the city’s Cora Geo information system, supply 9,000 encrypted access chips and train staff. The contract also includes two years of guaranteed life-cycle servicing, including maintenance and statutory metrological verification. The estimated value is EUR 1,600,000; the deadline for tenders is 2 November 2026 at 10:00. Tenders will be evaluated on life-cycle costs (50%), software quality and usability (15%), robustness of the weighing mechanism (15%), battery life and environmental impact (10%), and the software’s environmental benefit (10%). Bidders must submit technical documentation and screenshots for evaluation. The solution must include dynamic optimisation of collection routes; plastic components must be recyclable and comply with RoHS and REACH requirements. At least 70% by weight of non-hazardous construction and demolition waste generated during the works must be reused or recycled. No tender guarantee is required.
