Preparation and delivery of hospital meals for Hristo Botev Hospital in Vratsa

Summary

The contract covers the daily preparation and delivery of freshly made hospital meals for patients of Hristo Botev Hospital in Vratsa and, where needed, other groups, over 24 months. Meals must follow the hospital-approved menus and therapeutic diets, be individually packaged and transported in conditions that preserve food safety, quality and the required temperature. The service provider must meet portion-size and nutritional requirements and comply with food safety, hygiene, packaging and transport rules. Organic food must account for at least 4% in 2026, 5% in 2027 and 6% in 2028 within each applicable product group. The provider must also implement written procedures to prevent and reduce food waste. Bids are ranked by the lowest unit price; the estimated total contract value is EUR 824,000. Bidders must meet requirements for registration, turnover, relevant experience, staff and at least two food transport vehicles. The successful bidder must provide a performance guarantee equal to 5% of the contract value excluding VAT.
