The tender concerns the development of a Maternity Emergency and Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit at University Maternity Hospital Limerick. The project will deliver a new rapid-build facility of approximately 863 square meters of internal floor area across two floors (ground and first) with about 150 square meters of rooftop plant room, including refurbishment of the existing Main Entrance and Medical Emergency Unit. It will provide for the refurbishment and expansion of the maternity services, a new extension housing a diagnostic scanning suite, a 3-bed assessment unit on the ground floor, a 4-bed labour induction unit, a 2-room Intensive Care suite and a first-floor procedure room, plus associated support and staff facilities, a new main entrance draught lobby and canopy, and upgraded forecourt with landscape works.
