Supply of 10 new trams for the Municipality of Iasi

Summary

The Municipality of Iasi is seeking 10 new trams, approximately 22 metres long, unidirectional, fully low-floor and equipped with intelligent transport systems. The trams will serve passengers in the Iasi metropolitan area, renewing the city's fleet and improving public transport accessibility, comfort and energy efficiency. The estimated total value is RON 125,600,000 and the planned contract duration is 30 months. Bidders must be registered in SEAP, the Romanian electronic procurement system, and submit the required European Single Procurement Document (ESPD). They must have supplied similar rail passenger vehicles worth at least RON 125,000,000 in total, excluding VAT, during the previous three years; this may be demonstrated through one or more contracts. The bid and supporting documents must be in Romanian or accompanied by an authorised Romanian translation. Bids are evaluated on price (50%) and on the number of seats, extended warranty, autonomous travel distance and traction electricity consumption. The technical bid must include interior layout drawings and a technical description. The tram must have at least 30 seats, an autonomous travel capability of at least 200 metres, a warranty of at least five years and e-SORT 2-tested electricity consumption of no more than 1.9 kWh/km.
