Archaeological Processing and Archive Services for Accession and Storage at the National Museum of Ireland
Summary
The tender concerns archaeological processing and archive services for the National Museum of Ireland. The work includes sorting, packing, documenting and preparing excavated or stored collections for storage and accession, as well as transferring archives, documents and reports. It also covers washing, drying, processing and packing osteological assemblages, delivering analysis and reporting, and selecting samples for radiocarbon, isotope or other analyses where recommended. The contractor must provide at least one supervising archaeologist and two archaeological assistants, at least one archivist for archive work, and at least one senior osteoarchaeologist for osteological work; larger assemblages require at least two additional osteoarchaeologists. The required experience definitions are set out in Appendix A. The estimated contract value is EUR 6,000,000 and the tender deadline is 17 September 2026.
