Wax for calenders and industrial ironing lines used in hospital laundry processing

Summary

The procurement is for wax used to lubricate and protect industrial calenders and ironing lines, and to optimise their operation in processing hospital laundry at SUCH production facilities. The contract runs for up to 24 months or until the maximum contract value of EUR 74,956 excluding VAT is exhausted, whichever occurs first. The estimated maximum quantity is 1,925 kg. Deliveries will be made against orders to several locations in Portugal; the contracting authority does not guarantee that it will purchase the full estimated quantities. The wax must be suitable for industrial calenders heated by gas, thermal oil and/or steam. It must be supplied as yellowish solid flakes in 20–25 kg bags, with a melting point of 60–150 °C and a density of 0.90–0.99 g/cm³ at 25 °C (DIN 53479). Bidders must provide a technical data sheet, safety data sheet, manufacturer’s declaration of conformity, unit prices for each wax type, the total price and the delivery time. Price accounts for 80% of the evaluation and delivery time for 20%; the maximum bid price is EUR 74,956 excluding VAT. Proposals must be submitted electronically and signed. Variant proposals are not allowed. The submission deadline is 7 October 2026 at 17:00, and bids must remain valid for 66 days. The supplier must maintain valid certifications in quality, safety and environmental management throughout contract performance. The successful bidder must submit the required qualification and other documents within five working days. Bidders must also meet the exclusion and documentary requirements set out in the tender documents.
