Repair of Storm Kristin damage at the Glass Museum
Summary
The contract covers repairs to storm Kristin damage at the Glass Museum in Marinha Grande. The work includes dismantling and removing damaged roof sections, cleaning and treating stonework, repairing the roofs and installing insulation and 0.65 mm titanium-zinc cladding on the main roof. It also includes cladding the gable, flashings and roof junctions; repairing interior suspended ceilings and paintwork; installing a new transparent polycarbonate dome; reinstating exterior lights and the lightning-protection system; replacing the skylight glass; and repairing the west chimney. The contractor must provide the required materials, labour, equipment and scaffolding, ensure safety, and arrange proper disposal of construction waste. The works must be completed within 90 days. The maximum tender price is EUR 118,179.31 excluding VAT, and price is the sole award criterion. The contract is not divided into lots. Bids must be submitted electronically in Portuguese by 23:59 on 16 October 2026 and remain valid for 90 days. Variant bids and negotiations are not permitted. Bidders must hold the required Portuguese public works licence and include prices, a work schedule, workforce and equipment plans, and a financial schedule. The successful bidder must also provide the required qualification and compliance evidence, insurance, and construction-phase health and safety plan.
