Services to verify radiation protection and safety conditions

Summary

The procurement concerns inspections of radiation protection and safety conditions, as well as quality assurance testing, for radiological rooms and equipment at Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa’s Hospital Ortopédico de Sant’Ana. Annual inspections are required for all listed equipment: a CT scanner, a bone densitometer, two conventional X-ray units, two portable X-ray units and four image intensifiers. The work includes periodic equipment safety tests, assessment of radiation-protection barriers in rooms, acceptance tests covering image quality and radiation dose, individual test and measurement reports for each item of equipment, and a report on the legal compliance of the installation and equipment as a whole. The contract runs for up to 36 months, expected to start on 2 January 2027 or on a later date if the electronic signature is completed afterwards. The base price is EUR 21,150 excluding VAT, and price is the sole award criterion. Bidders must hold valid recognition to provide radiation safety services. Bids must include the required declarations, proof of recognition, a commercial register certificate and a price form showing annual prices for each item of equipment and the total price for 36 months. Bids must be submitted electronically in Portuguese by 13 October 2026 at 17:00; according to the contract notice, bids must remain valid for 120 days.
