Conservation and restoration of movable and integrated heritage at the Chapel of Our Lady of the Conception
Summary
The tender concerns conservation and restoration work on the movable and integrated heritage of the Chapel of Our Lady of the Conception in Alcoutim. The items include the gilded carved-wood main altarpiece, two polychrome wooden side altarpieces, an altar table faced with Hispano-Moorish tiles, a polychrome wall cabinet, a mural, a stone holy-water stoup, a stone-and-masonry water reservoir with a wooden lid, and four wooden sculptures. The contract period is 360 days and the maximum budget is EUR 85,110 excluding VAT. The contract is not divided into lots, and variant bids are not allowed. Tenderers must submit a financial offer, a method statement explaining the proposed intervention, a work schedule and team structure, a risk-management plan, a technical guarantee, and the required team members’ CVs and evidence of qualifications and experience. The minimum team comprises five Level 7 conservator-restorers (two specialising in polychrome sculpture and gilded woodcarving, one in mural painting, one in tiles and one in stone) and two Level 5 assistants. The team must be led by a conservator-restorer specialising in polychrome sculpture and gilded woodcarving. Technical merit carries 60% of the evaluation and price 40%; the technical assessment considers the experience of the organisation, coordinator and team. Bids must be in Portuguese or accompanied by a duly legalised translation and must remain valid for 360 days. The submission deadline is 13 October 2026 at 23:59.
