Creation and production of the Elvas Christmas City 2026 event

Summary

The tender covers the creation and delivery of Elvas municipality’s “Elvas Christmas City 2026” event. The contractor must design an integrated event concept and provide, transport, install, operate, maintain, technically support and remove the attractions and decorations. The planned features include a 20 × 10 m natural ice rink, children’s carousels, 15 wooden Christmas market stalls, a light tunnel, Santa’s house, an elves’ castle, photo spots and other festive decorations. The contractor must also arrange a Christmas street band of at least five musicians for a performance lasting at least three hours and install event design and marketing materials. The planned schedule is installation from 9 to 25 November 2026, operation of the attractions and structures through 6 January 2027, and dismantling by 11 January 2027; the contract lasts 64 days. The estimated maximum budget is EUR 194,000 excluding VAT. Bids must be submitted electronically in Portuguese and will be evaluated on price (50%), technical merit (30%) and environmental criteria (20%). Bidders must provide an event concept description, a 3D design including layout and evacuation plans, a work schedule, and evidence of relevant experience and the project team’s qualifications.
