Preparing and providing hot meals for clients of the Chorzów Social Welfare Centre in 2027

Summary

The procurement covers preparing hot meals and providing them for takeaway to clients of the Chorzów Social Welfare Centre for 12 months. Service is to start two weeks after the contract is signed, but not before 1 January 2027. There are three lots: Batory, Chorzów II and the city-centre area (Śródmieście); one bidder may be awarded more than one lot. The maximum basic quantities are 15,000, 13,100 and 13,000 meals respectively. The contracting authority may use additional quantities and extend the contract by up to two months. The order quantity may be reduced, but not below 70% of the basic quantity for the relevant lot, and payment is for meals actually provided. The contractor must prepare and provide meals from Monday to Saturday, 12:00–16:00. A meal must be either soup weighing at least 300 g or measuring at least 400 ml, or a second course weighing at least 400 g; the same dish may not be served more often than once every seven days. Food must meet food-safety, sanitary and nutrition requirements and be supplied in a suitable certified or approved disposable container that preserves its quality and temperature. Meals are provided in exchange for meal vouchers, not cash or another product. The service premises must be within the Chorzów area designated for the relevant lot and accessible to people with disabilities, or suitable assistance must be arranged for them. Bidders must demonstrate previous experience in preparing and serving hot meals; specific value, daily meal-volume or total-meal thresholds apply to each lot. They must also have an approved food-establishment premises and the right to use it throughout the contract, and meal preparation and serving staff must be employed under employment contracts. Bids are evaluated on price (60%), distance from the premises to the nearest public transport stop (20%), and a commitment to provide service on statutory public holidays (20%). Bids must be submitted electronically by 8:00 on 9 October 2026.
