Repair of the felt roof at the Vocational and Continuing Education Centre in Jaworzno

Summary

The tender covers repairs to the bituminous felt roof of the Vocational and Continuing Education Centre in Jaworzno, at 61 Towarowa Street. The main works concern the roof of section C1 (approximately 438 m²): removing the existing covering and installing a new two-layer torch-applied felt roof, carrying out sheet-metal work and making the necessary repairs. The contract also includes local repairs to section F2 and cleaning the roof of section B, including clearing its rainwater downpipe. Six rooflights must be replaced. The lightning-protection system within the work area must be dismantled, reinstalled, inspected and tested. The works must be completed within 45 calendar days of contract signature. The bid must cover the entire procurement; price is the only award criterion and must be a lump sum inclusive of VAT. A PLN 1,500 bid guarantee is required before the submission deadline. The contracting authority has set aside PLN 195,000 gross. Before signing the contract, the successful bidder must provide performance security equal to 5% of the total bid price and, before work begins, liability insurance of at least PLN 500,000. Physical work and construction-equipment operation must generally be performed by employees under employment contracts, with an exception for self-employed individuals. The bidder must demonstrate at least two properly completed roofing-felt repair or installation projects from the last five years, each worth at least PLN 100,000 gross. The works require appropriately qualified construction and electrical works managers, as well as personnel qualified in electrical equipment operation, supervision and inspection and measurement. The bid must include the required declaration confirming the absence of exclusion grounds and fulfilment of the participation conditions.
