Groundwater control system at the Walsoorden sea dike

Summary

Rijkswaterstaat is procuring, as a single works contract, the design, construction, testing and commissioning of a groundwater collection and discharge system in the Perkpolder area near Walsoorden. The system comprises drainage along the existing seepage ditch and the Mariadijk cycle path, a collector connected to existing seepage filters, a pumping station, and an outlet through the sea dike to the Westerschelde. Associated works include crossing the N689, an outlet structure with erosion protection, reinstatement of affected areas and the documentation needed for handover.
