Municipal liability insurance

Summary

The tender concerns municipal liability insurance for Gemeente Bergen op Zoom from 1 January 2027. The insurance must cover, among other things, third-party property and personal injury, financial loss, employers’ liability, sudden environmental damage, and limited liability and existing property cover for construction works. The required limits are EUR 5,000,000 per claim and EUR 10,000,000 per insurance year for property and personal injury and employers’ liability, and EUR 2,500,000 per claim and EUR 5,000,000 per insurance year for financial loss. The contract starts on 1 January 2027, runs until 1 January 2030, and may be extended up to three times for 12 months, at the latest until 1 January 2033. Bidders must submit the insurance premium and service module prices, a reference for a Dutch municipality with at least 42,000 inhabitants, and all required declarations and signed forms. Bids are evaluated on insurance coverage, information and transfer of knowledge, quality and duration, and price.
