Property insurance for the Municipality of Maastricht

Summary

The tender concerns comprehensive property insurance for the Municipality of Maastricht, covering municipal buildings, business equipment and inventory, business interruption and special costs, as well as primary and secondary schools located within the municipality. The contract starts on 1 January 2027 for an initial three-year period and may be extended by mutual agreement in 12-month periods up to a total duration of nine years. The policy has a deductible of EUR 2,500 per event. Bids must be submitted electronically in Dutch by 22 October 2026 at 14:00. The contract may be awarded to one or several insurers participating in co-insurance; the lead insurer must be able to cover at least 25% of the risk. Price is the only award criterion, based on the lowest total annual premium. A Social Return obligation requires at least 2% of the contract value to be used for employment of target-group candidates.
