Control of giant hogweed spread on land managed by Jēkabpils Municipality in 2027–2028

Jēkabpils Municipality is procuring measures to control the spread of giant hogweed across 25.19 hectares of municipal land in Jēkabpils city, two other towns and 12 parishes. The work is to be carried out in 2027 and 2028, with two treatments each year using a combination of chemical and mechanical methods; mechanical control is required in water protection zones. The contract period runs from 1 April 2027 to 1 September 2028.
