Tender detail
Water pipeline repair works
Summary
The procurement covers repair work on 86 metres of water pipeline at Jekabpils Regional Hospital: replacing an obsolete section with a new PE100-RC SDR11 PN10 OD40 pipe or an equivalent. The work includes excavation and protection of existing utility networks, removal and disposal of the old pipe, connection of the new pipe to the operating water system, hydraulic testing, flushing and, if necessary, disinfection. The contractor must supply all required materials, backfill and compact the trench, and restore surfaces and areas affected by the work. The works take place on an operational hospital site, so safety must be maintained and disruption to daily hospital operations kept to a minimum. Any water interruption must be coordinated and kept as short as possible, preferably no longer than 4 hours. The contract must be completed within three weeks of signing. A site inspection before submitting a bid is mandatory. The bid must include the required experience and specialist evidence, as well as technical and financial offers. Price is the only award criterion; the compliant bid with the lowest total price excluding VAT will be selected.
