Tender detail
Structural restoration works at the Riga Central Market Meat Pavilion
Summary
The procurement covers structural restoration works at the Riga Central Market Meat Pavilion, Centrāltirgus iela 1, Riga. The works include strengthening or replacing steel arch structures and other load-bearing elements, restoring load-bearing basement floor structures, and repairing the steel beams and reinforced-concrete structure of the projecting platform in an extension. The contractor must also prepare and secure the worksite, remove construction waste and hand over completion documentation. The building is a cultural heritage site, so the works must comply with the design, building permit and heritage-protection requirements and be organised to minimise disruption to market visitors. The works must be completed within eight months after contract signing and handover of the site. The estimated contract value is EUR 1,195,000 excluding VAT, and contract award is conditional on funding being secured. The procurement is not divided into lots, and only one bid may be submitted for the full scope. A site visit before bid submission is mandatory. Evaluation awards up to 90 points for price and up to 10 points for the responsible site manager’s relevant experience. Participation requires meeting the registration, construction-sector turnover, certified site manager and insurance conditions, and submitting compliant cost calculations and a work schedule.
