Development of environmental interpretation infrastructure and amenities in Gauja National Park, Vaidava

Summary

The contract covers the development of environmental interpretation and recreational infrastructure at the Atpūtas parks leisure area beside Lake Vaidava in Vaidava, Gauja National Park. The works include, among other things, partial removal of existing surfaces and construction of new gravel, sand and timber surfaces, timber edging and lawn; pontoon walkways for swimmers and SUP boards; playground and beach volleyball equipment; and the manufacture and installation of an information stand and panel. Some changing cabins, benches and equipment listed in the work schedules are expressly marked as not being implemented under this project. The works must follow the construction design and technical specification and be completed within five months from confirmation that the conditions to start construction have been met and the site has been handed over, excluding any weather-related technological suspension. The works must carry a warranty of at least three years, and installed equipment a warranty of at least two years. The contractor must provide a warranty-period guarantee of at least 2% of the construction works cost including VAT and employ at least one student during the contract for a total of at least two months at no less than 0.5 full-time equivalent. The bid must cover the full scope; price is the only award criterion. An independent post-installation inspection of the playground must be arranged and its report submitted.
