Ventilation and heat-recovery refurbishment at the old Riihimäki ice rink

Summary

KOY Riihimäen Jäähalli is procuring refurbishment of the ventilation system in the old ice rink building. Part 1 includes a new ventilation unit, removal of the existing equipment, connections to the heating and cooling pipes of the refrigeration plant installed in 2022, and renewal of the ventilation container’s automation control centre and key components. Optional Part 2 covers refurbishment of the heat-recovery system, including underground heating pipes and modifications to the maintenance building’s heat distribution equipment, to use condenser heat for heating. Works are planned to start in March–April 2027.
