Request for information: Safety devices supporting independent living at home, device management and maintenance services
Summary
This is a request for information and market consultation concerning a planned procurement of safety-device solutions supporting independent living at home and related lifecycle services. The preliminary scope includes personal alarm phones and alarm bracelets, location-enabled safety devices, door alarms and other safety-technology accessories, device-management systems, integrations with the welfare region’s systems, implementation, installation and training, as well as maintenance, support and lifecycle-management services. The planned model would have the welfare region’s own safety service centre receive, process, assess and forward alarms. During 1 January–31 August 2026, the region had an average of 3,290 safety-service customers per month, using approximately 3,145 personal alarm phones, 203 location-enabled safety watches and 197 door alarms; the centre handled an average of 23,296 incoming calls and 2,620 forwarded assistance tasks per month. The consultation seeks market views on technical solutions, integrations, service models, pricing, contract duration and the feasibility of routing alarms directly to the region’s own centre. This is not a contract notice, invitation to tender or advance notice, and it does not involve purchasing products or services or commit the authority to launch a procurement. The response deadline is 2 October 2026.
