Procurement of literature

Summary

The tender concerns the procurement of printed literature for the PIKI library network in Pirkanmaa through a two-lot, multi-supplier framework agreement. The lots cover Finnish-language literature and literature in other languages. Up to five suppliers will be selected for each lot according to the ranking resulting from the tender evaluation; if fewer than five suitable tenderers submit acceptable bids, all suitable tenderers with compliant bids may be selected. The estimated total value is EUR 9,600,000 and the tender deadline is 19 October 2026 at 12:00. During the contract period, orders will mainly be placed through a procurement portal that compares prices for individual orders and directs each order to the supplier offering the lowest price. The Finnish-language lot must include a broad range of general literature, publications by public organisations, companies, associations and small or self-publishers, as well as domestic sheet music and maps. The other-language lot must offer a sufficiently broad and diverse range of literature other than Finnish-language literature published in Finland; foreign sheet music and maps may also be purchased through the framework agreement.
