Supply of a closed aluminium fixed-point cell for thermocouple calibration

Summary

The Spanish Centre for Metrology is procuring a closed aluminium fixed-point cell for its thermometry laboratory to calibrate thermocouples. The cell will replace a broken reference cell and must fit the laboratory’s existing external Inconel protective container and special furnaces. The aluminium purity must be at least 99.9999% (6N), with a chemical analysis certificate, and the aluminium must be enclosed in a sealed quartz capsule. The thermometer well must have an internal diameter of 8 mm, and the distance from the bottom of the well to the top of the pure reference material must be at least 195 mm. The external Inconel container must be at least 43 cm high and have an external diameter below 51 mm; thermal insulating spacers must be supplied to make up the cell’s height. Transport must be included in the price. The supplier must deliver and commission the equipment within 20 weeks of contract signing. Delivery is to the Thermodynamics and Environment Department of the Spanish Centre for Metrology in Tres Cantos, Madrid. The warranty is one year from delivery and includes technical service and correction of hidden defects. The budget is €33,000 including VAT, and the contract is not divided into lots. Price is the sole award criterion and carries 100 points. Tenderers must meet the turnover and similar-supply experience thresholds, but need not submit evidence with their initial offer; the proposed awardee must provide the evidence when requested. The offer must be submitted electronically, in Spanish, and electronically signed.
