Technical assistance for event and congress production

Summary

The contract is for technical assistance to support the public tourism and cultural organisation in Asturias with the preparation and delivery of events and congresses. Tasks include receiving event requests and assessing feasibility, showing venues to organisers, preparing budgets, booking spaces, coordinating technical and staffing needs, and monitoring event production, setup, delivery and dismantling. The service also covers obtaining permits, promoting events and managing social media, proposing promotional materials, maintaining a regional professionals database, and supporting the coordination of cultural programmes. The estimated workload is 1,742 hours per year. The contract runs for 12 months and may be extended in yearly periods up to a total of five years. The base budget is €40,937 excluding VAT (€49,533.77 including VAT); the estimated total value including planned extensions is €204,685 excluding VAT. Bids are evaluated on price (45 points), the assigned worker’s professional experience and qualifications (40 points), and additional academic qualifications and training (15 points). Bidders must meet the financial and technical capacity requirements and assign at least one suitably qualified lead worker. Before contract award, the selected bidder must provide evidence of that worker’s qualifications, English-language proficiency and experience, as well as proof of public-liability insurance of at least €150,000. The contract is not divided into lots, and no initial tender guarantee is required.
