Tender detail

Supply of working dogs for FUPRO

Summary

The tender is for the purchase of seven dogs suitable for detecting drugs and narcotics for the Navy’s protection units, for use in a dog-handler training course. The dogs must be presented for selection at the AGRUMAD facility in Madrid. German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois are preferred; dogs must be 12–18 months old when presented and must have a health booklet or passport. Each dog will undergo a veterinary examination and practical suitability tests. The selected dogs must be delivered by 13 November 2026. Contract performance runs until 30 November 2026 or until the available funding is exhausted, whichever occurs first. A 15-day trial period applies after delivery; if the animal’s suitability or quality is not maintained, the breeder must take it back and replace it with a dog of the same characteristics. At least 48 hours before presentation, the bidder must submit a list showing each dog’s name, breed, age and microchip or identification number, if available, together with the dog’s health document. Offers must be submitted electronically. Price is the sole award criterion and is worth 100 points. The budget ceiling is €24,500 excluding VAT, or €29,645 including 21% VAT. During transport, the supplier must, where possible, optimise routes to reduce emissions and use vehicles with an ECO or zero-emission environmental label.
