Rental of a waste compactor for the animal facility

Summary

CNIO is seeking to rent, without a purchase option, a waste compactor for wood shavings and other non-hazardous solid waste generated by its animal facility. The contractor must supply, install and commission the compactor; empty and clean it regularly; transport the waste to an appropriately authorised waste operator; and maintain the equipment to ensure uninterrupted service. Installation and commissioning are due within 7 calendar days of contract signature. Routine removal and replacement must take place once a week, and the emptied, cleaned compactor must be returned within 4 hours. A breakdown must be attended to within 4 hours; if it cannot be fixed within 24 hours, an equivalent replacement unit must be provided. Urgent support must be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The initial rental term is 12 months, with an option to extend for up to 24 months. The tender budget is EUR 9,500 excluding VAT, and the estimated contract value including possible extensions is EUR 28,500 excluding VAT. The contract is not divided into lots. Offers are assessed on technical quality, worth up to 25 points, and price, worth up to 75 points. To participate, bidders must demonstrate the required turnover and comparable supply experience, submit a technical proposal, and attend a mandatory site visit before submitting their offer, with proof of the visit included in the bid. The successful contractor must comply with environmental waste-management rules and submit periodic reports on service delivery and waste handled.
