Maintenance of lifts and stairlifts in the University of Burgos buildings

Summary

The tender covers maintenance and fault repairs for lifts and two stairlifts in University of Burgos buildings. The service includes 32 lifts and stairlifts in the Faculty of Law library and the military hospital assembly hall. Lifts require mandatory monthly maintenance checks; stairlifts must be maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s manual and at least every three months. The work must comply with lift safety regulations and include fault response and rescue services, an initial inspection during the first month, and monthly service reports. Emergency support must be available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year: attendance within less than two hours for breakdowns (except weekends and public holidays) and within 30 minutes for rescues. Labour and auxiliary equipment needed for interventions are included in the maintenance price; replacement materials and mandatory periodic statutory inspections are charged separately, with the University responsible for the latter. Spare parts must be original. The contract runs for two years, with an option to extend for up to two additional years. The estimated value is €90,000 excluding VAT; the two-year tender budget is €45,000 excluding VAT, or €54,450 including 21% VAT. Price carries up to 60 points, annual ultrasonic testing of three-support machines up to 15 points, and technical quality and additional safety testing together up to 25 points. A minimum of 12.5 out of 25 points is required in the qualitative assessment. Bidders must submit a detailed maintenance organisation and work-method statement and demonstrate the required maintenance-company registration, capacity and qualified technicians. Tenders must be submitted electronically in Spanish, with separate technical and financial submissions; the top-ranked bidder must provide the requested evidence within seven working days.
