Granting hunting rights in the Bovalar de Castell de Cabres forest

Summary

The tender grants the right to use the 116.95-hectare Bovalar de Castell de Cabres forest, owned by the municipality of Castell de Cabres, for hunting for five years. The term starts when the first use licence is issued and ends no later than 31 May of the final year. This is an open auction with price as the sole award criterion: the highest-priced compliant bid wins. The minimum price is EUR 153.36 per year, excluding VAT, and bids may not be lower. Eligible participants are holders of hunting rights who can establish a hunting reserve meeting the applicable requirements, or owners of adjoining private land who can establish such a reserve or extend an existing adjoining one. Bidders must prove that they hold the necessary hunting rights. Bids must be submitted electronically within 15 working days of publication of the contract notice, with a responsible declaration and a separate financial offer. Each bidder may submit one bid. Before obtaining the first use licence, the successful bidder must pay the first annual instalment and provide a guarantee equal to 10% of the total price for the five-year term; no provisional guarantee is required. Hunting may not begin until the licence has been issued and the handover record has been completed. The holder must plan the hunting activity properly, obtain and maintain the required licences, cover the costs of reserve registration and marking and preparation of plans, maintain forest roads, remove waste, repair damage it causes and comply with forest, nature conservation and hunting requirements.
