Moving, distribution and installation of furniture, belongings, books and documents between UNED buildings

Summary

The contract covers moving furniture, furnishings, books, documents, office supplies, equipment and other materials within and between UNED buildings in Madrid and Las Rozas. The work includes packing and unpacking, delivery and placement, assembling and dismantling furniture and shelving, preparing rooms for events, reorganising storage areas, and removing items declared unusable. Moves involving laboratory, research or specially controlled materials, and relocations of large administrative units, are excluded from this contract. Services will be provided within the Autonomous Community of Madrid. Normal working hours are 8:00 to 15:00 on working days, for at least seven hours per day. The contractor must provide at least one specialist mover, one driver and one van of up to 20 m³ every day. On at least 48 hours’ notice from the University, it must be able to provide additional staff and vehicles, including vehicles of up to 30 or 40 m³ and a furniture-lifting crane. The contractor is responsible for suitable equipment, tools, protective equipment and packing materials at no extra cost, and must safeguard the transported goods and ensure they arrive in good condition. The contract runs for two years, planned from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2028, with possible annual extensions for up to two additional years. The two-year budget ceiling is EUR 785,197.88 including VAT; the estimated total value including possible extensions is EUR 1,297,847.76 excluding VAT. Payment is made monthly for services actually provided and certified, using unit prices; the ceiling does not guarantee a minimum order or workload. Price carries 95 points. A free 50 m³ furniture-storage service can earn up to 5 points, depending on whether it is offered for 3, 6, 9 or 12 months per year. The offer must include a positive price for all six service items. The procurement documents give inconsistent maximum prices for items 1 and 2, so bidders should verify the applicable limits in the official tender documents. Bidders must submit the required offer and qualification evidence; the proposed successful bidder provides the qualification evidence. Subcontracting and assignment of the contract require UNED’s prior written consent.
