Summary

The procurement covers market analysis, technology valorisation and commercialisation and technology-transfer strategies for research and development technologies created by BSC-CNS and partner institutions associated with the X4HPC project. BSC-CNS will commission individual studies as needed over a 30-month period; the total number of studies is not fixed in advance. Each study will assess the technology’s value proposition and maturity, market size and trends, potential applications, competitors, potential customers, barriers to market entry, business models, financial prospects and risks, and provide strategic recommendations. Each study must produce an editable report, an executive summary and a presentation; deliverables are generally required in English. A study will normally take 30–90 calendar days and includes an initial meeting of at least 1.5 hours and a presentation of the results. The procurement is divided into four lots: computer science and technologies; health and biotechnology; advanced industry and new materials; and earth sciences, energy, climate and sustainability. The estimated total value is €278,000 excluding VAT (€336,380 including VAT), with a maximum unit price of €9,000 excluding VAT per study. Payment is for studies actually commissioned and accepted. Bidders must meet the specified financial and technical capacity requirements, including at least 15 relevant market studies in the past three years and experience working with at least five different technology-transfer units. Relevant team experience and qualifications, as well as price, are also scored. Subcontracting is prohibited, and the work results belong to BSC-CNS.
