Tender detail
Dismantling and demolition of existing facilities and buildings at the Port of Tarragona
Summary
The tender covers dismantling and demolition of existing facilities and buildings at the Port of Tarragona, including the former Norel terminal, an adjoining restaurant building and the paved area of a neighbouring service station. The works include, among other things, dismantling tanks, pipelines and auxiliary equipment, and sorting and managing demolition waste. Metal materials must be separated, transported and delivered to an authorised waste operator. Their recovery value is already included in the unit prices, so no additional payment will be made for them. This is a single-lot works contract with an estimated duration of 4 months. The estimated value is EUR 901,089.02 excluding VAT, and the budget including VAT is EUR 1,090,317.71. Bids must be submitted electronically. Price accounts for 50% of the evaluation and technical quality for the other 50%; bidders must score at least 25 out of 50 on the technical assessment. The technical proposal must describe the work methodology and sequence, waste management, safety measures, and work organisation and schedule. Bidders must hold the required works-contractor classification and provide the specified qualified team. The contractor must comply with environmental and occupational safety requirements, provide the required liability and construction all-risks insurance before work begins, and submit a health and safety plan. The contract may not be awarded if a port-planning amendment is approved before contract formation, as a future concessionaire may carry out the demolition of the existing facilities itself.
