Construction works for the Madrid Metro network extension to Valdebebas – Sections 1 and 2

Summary

The procurement covers construction works to extend the Madrid Metro network into the Valdebebas district in two lots: Lot 1 from Mar de Cristal to Hospital Zendal, and Lot 2 from Hospital Zendal to Valdebebas Norte. The works include tunnels, stations, shafts, track and associated infrastructure. The combined estimated budget is €880,569,937.22 including VAT; Lot 1 is budgeted at €579,748,526.02 and Lot 2 at €300,821,411.20. The contract periods are 39 and 32 months respectively. A bidder may tender for both lots but may be awarded only one. Price accounts for 70% of the evaluation, while technical quality and other quality criteria account for 30%. Participation requires evidence of the specified contractor classification or, for foreign EU/EEA businesses, turnover and previous works experience; a commitment to provide the required specialist team and equipment; and submission of the prescribed technical and administrative documents.
